"Phenomena" [1] is the title song by rock music supergroup Phenomena Phenomena (band) taken from their first self-titled album, which was released by Bronze/Arista records in 1985. 20 years later, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs published a completely different song under the same title from their Show Your Bones album. The song is built around a dance beat and the refrain:
“ | Something like a phenomenon | ” |
That refrain echoes previous uses, such as Liquid Liquid's "Cavern", Melle Mel's "White Lines (Don't Don't Do It)", LL Cool J's "Phenomenon", and De La Soul's "Ego Trippin' (Part Two)."
The song is played over the end credits of the 2008 horror movie The Ruins.
